The Cave by Chef Ryan Clift at The Edge
A fine-dining, 22-seat subterranean restaurant in a natural cave discovered during a 2013 villa construction. The cave, located in Uluwatu, offers a unique and intimate dining experience, including a visual light show projected onto the cave walls.
Menus: The Cave offers seven- or ten-course tasting menus of modern gastronomy with optional wine and cocktail pairings. Dishes are often beautifully presented and can include selections like scallop and duck. Menus are reinvented quarterly to ensure the highest quality ingredients.
Ambiance: The intimate setting is enhanced by the open kitchen, where chefs work in view of the diners. The dining experience is accompanied by a projector show on the cave walls, though some reviews suggest the storyline could be improved.
Seating times: Seating is at fixed times, and guests are requested to arrive 15 minutes before their reservation.
Lunch: 12:30 pm – 2:30 pm (Tuesday–Sunday)
Dinner: 5:30 pm – 7:30 pm and 9:00 pm – 11:00 pm (Monday–Sunday)
Price: A seven-course menu starts at IDR 1.900.000++, with a 10-course option also available. Optional wine and cocktail pairings are an additional cost.
Important considerations:
The restaurant is not wheelchair accessible.
Children aged 11 and under are welcome only for lunch seating, and children under 4 are not permitted.
Walk-in guests are not permitted. Do book one month in advance.
